The Showgirl competition provides these young women with the amazing opportunity to gain personal development, learn life-long skills and pursue leadership roles in the community and in the workplace. The competition has made a significant contribution to the advancement of women in regional and rural areas ever since the first Queensland Showgirl was awarded in 1983.
